Energetic and Hard Working Chef With Experience of Consistently Delivering Structured Menu

Posted: 24 days ago
Place: South Kensington, London

We are looking for an enthusiastic chef with experience of delivering a structured menu. If you are hard working, friendly, and full of energy and care about the kitchen you work in and the people you work with then we want to meet you! Communication in the kitchen is key so good English is essential.
We are a pub serving traditional British food. Of course our most popular dishes are old favourites like fish and chips, sausage and Mash and Pies, but our menu is extensive and requires skill and focus to deliver the dishes brilliantly every time. We cater for local workers, students, residents and visitors to the Royal Albert Hall, nearby museums and attractions. We are busy every day and our kitchen is very small (we love it!) so we need people who are great working as part of a team but who are confident enough to work alone and under pressure too. It can be tough but it is also hugely rewarding and you will have the support of a settled management team.
We strongly believe that the best way to run a kitchen is for everyone to be able to, and be happy to do everything (eventually!) and share the responsibility. Cleaning and washing up are as important and as much a part of the job as preparation and cooking. We are part of a large company and so will give you all the training you need and chances to progress in house and beyond.
The position is full time, mainly evenings and weekends, but we will consider applications for part time if the circumstances are suitable and we are looking to fill the position as soon as possible. Starting hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience. If you think this sounds like the job for you then please send your CV with a short explanation of why you are the right person for the role. We look forward to hearing from you.
