Peabody has an exciting opportunity for an Employment Skills Assistant to join our team in Waltham Forest, London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, 1 year fixed term contract basis and will receive a salary of £21,778 per annum.

We are seeking an Employment Skills Assistant with experience of working and progressing unemployed people into work by delivering effective and high quality pre-employment related activity, equipping clients with the skills and support required for effective job search in preparation for progression into employment or training. This role is a 12 month fixed-term contract.
Essential Knowledge, experience and Skills required by the ideal Employment Skills Assistant:
- experience of working and progressing unemployed people into work
- Excellent communication and presentational skills with a wide range of audiences
- Ability to encourage, persuade and motivate at all levels
- Excellent organisational, administration, negotiation and IT skills
- Knowledge of applying equal opportunities, diversity and awareness of health and safety practices.
Desirable Knowledge, experience and Skills required by the ideal Employment Skills Assistant:
- Good understanding of employment legislation and benefit systems
- experience of delivering basic skills and ICT
- NVQ Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance and/or Job Brokerage
DBS - The successful applicant will need to be subject to a background disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
