Toucan Employment, the UK's longest-running supported employment charity for people with learning difficulties and disabilities is starting a new project (Workstart), working with young Southwark, Lambeth, and Lewisham residents with learning difficulties and disabilities who are NEED (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) to support them towards, and into employment.
We are looking for a committed enthusiastic self-starter to help these young people.
Attitude is more important than formal qualifications. You would be developing these young peoples' skills, looking for work experience placements, and supporting them into employment. The ability to build strong personal relationships with these young people, and to engage employers and other community partners is key.
Come and join a small close-knit team working out of the Thames Reach Employment Academy in Peckham.
