Peabody has an exciting opportunity for an Employment Broker to join our team based in Islington. The successful applicant will join us on a full time fixed term basis and will receive a competitive salary of £31,704 per annum.
The Employment Broker role:
An exciting opportunity has come up for an Employment Broker to join the Employment and Training Team. This post is based in Islington where you will provide regular and continuous information, advice and guidance to support job ready customers into employment or apprenticeships. Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure suitable customers are referred to the service and the departmental/team/ individual objectives are achieved. Engage with local employers and partners to source job vacancies. Ensure all client interactions are recorded appropriately using current systems and processes.
Knowledge/experience/skills required by the Employment Broker:
- Working directly with employers and employment agencies to provide job brokerage support.
- Excellent communication and presentational skills with a wide range of audiences.
- Ability to encourage, persuade and motivate at all levels.
- Excellent organisational, administration, negotiation and IT skills.
- Knowledge of applying equal opportunities, diversity and awareness of health and safety practices.
- experience of producing quality CV’s and cover letters.
Qualifications required of our Employment Broker:
- NVQ Level 3 Information, Advice and Guidance and/or Job Brokerage (or above)
