Giant Group has an exciting opportunity for an Employee Support Officer to join their team based in London. You will be on a full time, permanent basis, with a highly competitive salary of £22,950 per annum.
The Employee Support Officer Role
The role of an Employee Support Officer is a very fast-paced and diverse position. This is not a call centre position where the same queries may be handled over and over again. As such, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help resolve various queries as part of a dynamic team and larger Employee Support department.
The queries will include assisting with timesheet and expense entry, providing step-by-step guidance of the employee portal, advice and information on their employment rights (e.g. Statutory entitlements) as well as providing detailed payroll analysis. To provide exemplary support to field employees of giant.
Key Responsibilities of the Employee Support Officer.
- Providing exemplary customer service to employees.
- Answering a large volume of calls and emails.
- Taking ownership to ensure that any queries are resolved at the first attempt.
- Maintaining good relationships with field employees, agencies and other internal departments.
- Managing your own workload and keeping to agreed SLAs.
- Identify issues with current operating practice, and suggesting ways to improve operating performance.
- Develop new processes and practices to advocate a culture of continuous improvement.
- Look to secure referrals either via the “refer a friend” scheme or by referring to giant Accounts.
- Maintaining and developing knowledge on giant procedures, policies and processes.
Knowledge and Skills needed to become our Employee Support Officer.
- 2 Years customer services experience
- experience which clearly demonstrates ability to multitask to a very high level.
- experience of providing detailed instructions both written and verbal.
- experience of managing own workload and working with limited direction or supervision.
- Personal organisation and prioritisation – excellent time management.
- Able to work under pressure and to tight SLAs.
- Remaining calm when working under pressure and when dealing with people in difficult situations.
- Knowledge of PLC/payroll/tax/Human Resources /compliance would be an advantage.
- Competent numerical skills
- Proven communication especially excellent written and telephone skills.
- experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
