Embellishment Designer
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our fast growing Fashion Company.
Based in East London the Company designs and produces fashionable party, evening, going out dresses.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Research latest embellishment and embroidery trends and colourways.
• Design collection of fully embellished Maxi, midi and mini dresses.
• Create artwork, CADs, colour keys using Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator.
• Lease with factories in India on developing samples.
• Attend fitting sessions and transfer fitting comments to factories.
• Seal samples, approve labdips, lease on costing and prices.
• Place orders, monitor delivery dates, chase for pre-production and production samples.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Have at least 3-5 years commercial experience in the same role.
• Be educated to degree level in Fashion.
• Good knowledge of patterns, grading, garment construction, manufacturing.
• Advanced user of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft Office suite.
• Hands on can-do attitude with an exceptional work ethic.
• Prepared to complete a variety of tasks.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
• Highly organized, able to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Good hand drawn skills
