Busy skin care manufacturer located in Croydon (CR0) seeks a Electrical/Maintenance Assistant/Handy person for a temporary contract with possibility of turning into a long-term contract.
Applicants must be reliable, efficient, punctual, have attention to detail and be extremely hard working. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in similar roles (such as electrical, mechanical, electrician or vehicle technician, service engineer, mechanic).
Although standard hours are Mon - Fri 9AM - 5PM, flexibility on hours is also essential as some early mornings/late evenings are required and must be available to work some weekends to cover demand also.
£10 p/h negotiable, dependent on experience. Immediate start.
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for the day to day servicing and repairs of machinery and equipment, as well as other ad-hoc maintenance tasks.
Your duties will include:
- Breakdown maintenance and small mechanical and electrical fixes.
- Creating and following job lists, working Independently at times and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Update all relevant paperwork which you will be trained on and keep the engineer informed of the progress of tasks in progress and completed.
- Helping out with building work as and when required.
To be considered for the role of Maintenance Assistant, ideally you will:
- Be able to easily operate power tools such as drills, grinders and hand tools in a safely manner
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining exceptional standards.
- Have excellent communication skills and able to liaise effectively with other internal departments and external contractors
- Have the ability to prioritise work and be reactive to urgent jobs
- Be able to work on own initiative and be able to work as a team.
