EFL Teachers Job in London

Kings Summer are looking for EFL teachers to start in early July with contracts for between 2- 5 weeks available.
Role description
The main role of the Teacher is to provide EFL instruction to our international students. Southbank operates a single shift teaching day. Teachers are expected to teach 15 hours per week and do a number of day time and evening activity sessions and a full-day excursion or airport transfers. All Teachers are expected to participate in meal and bedtime duties as scheduled and attend regular meetings and workshops. Teachers are also allocated some paid preparation time. All teaching staff work a 6 day week and work up to 44 hours per week, on average.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To help with testing and placement of students
• To provide ESL instruction (15 or 30 hours per week)
• Attendance at regular staff meetings and teacher development workshops
• To monitor and record student attendance
• To monitor and counsel students on academic matters
• To ensure students are prepared in class for excursions
• To submit regular specified academic paperwork to Director of Studies (work records, class registers, completed reports)
• To lead and supervise of a wide range of sporting, social and interest-based activities (when teaching 15 hours or on 6th day)
• To promote activities to students and prepare activities as directed
• To lead and supervise off site excursions or an airport transfer once per week ( when teaching 15 hours per week)
• To assist with meeting and greeting/checking in students on arrival and helping with departure transfers
• To ensure Kings policy on child safeguarding and student welfare is followed
• Regular assistance with control of discipline, observance of time-keeping, etc. Both at night-time and meal-times
• Any other duties as directed by line manager’
Person Specification
Kings Summer is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be required to undergo a background check.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
• University degree
• Recognised teacher training qualification (CELTA, Trinity Cert. TESOL, Primary teaching or equivalent)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Energy, enthusiasm, and an empathy with children/teenagers
• Ability to lead a group of students on and off campus
Desirable attributes include:
• Teaching experience, preferably with young learners
• Previous summer camp/centre experience
• Interest/ability in areas such as sports, music, arts, drama, tour guiding
• Current first aid certificate
• Safeguarding Young People training or equivalent

Remuneration Package :
Basic pay per week: From £360 for residential teachers
From £395 for Non-residential teachers
Holiday Pay: 12.07% of your gross pay will be added to final salary in lieu of unused holiday.
Food and Accommodation: Accommodation and 3 meals per day are provided for all residential staff.
Lunch is provided for non-residential staff
