Based at Heathrow Airport, we are a long established and award winning provider of off-airport meet and greet car parking.
The company are Airport Authorised operators with Police/ Park Mark Accreditation.
Driver Pay - £7.50 per hour (staff can receive and keep their own tips from customers and can earn bonuses for sales of additional products and services)
Controller Pay - £8.50 per hour (increased in line with performance)
Controllers essentially operate as shift managers and despatchers of company drivers. You will be required to manage company costs and ensuring customer service for our customers.
We are looking for shift controllers and drivers on a part time basis as well as some for full-time work. You will need to be prepared to be flexible and work around company requirements. Our company operates from approximately 5am till midnight every day of the year including Christmas and all bank holidays. Staff will be allocated hours in accordance to company needs and their own availability.
Staff must be smartly dressed, black trousers and black shoes and must be well presented overall. You will be instructed and managed on a day to day basis by the main staff controller who will designate jobs to you as they are scheduled. You must be a strong team player with the ability to work under pressure and be able to communicate effectively with your controller and with customers. We expect staff to take initiative and work as a unit.
Customer service is very important to us and anyone that is considered will be expected to offer the highest level of service to our customers. You must have a Full UK (manual) driving license with less than 6 penalty points. You will also be required to provide proof of your right to work in the UK as well as 2 recent utility bills/ bank statements with your address.*
You will be driving many different types of vehicle - cars, minibuses and vans on occasion and will be expected to learn and adapt as you go. You will also be expected to help customers with luggage where possible and have a good eye for detail. You will be conducting damage checks in the presence of customers and staff ultimately have responsibility for the vehicles that they drive.
A very basic level of mechanical knowledge will be useful as dealing with many different vehicles on a day to day basis does carry the risk of minor mechanical faults e.g flat tyres and batteries.
New drivers are paid £7.20 per hour and are paid monthly, new Duty Controllers are paid £8.50 per hour, rising in accordance to performance. The opportunity to supplement your earnings with bonus is available based on selling add-on products to customers.
There will be opportunities for progression/ promotion within the company for the right person depending on work ethic and ability to organise staff.
New controllers will start as drivers and train whilst on the job with a chance to progress to shift controlling when signed off by the head controller and staff manager. Rates of pay can vary for controllers and will increase upon completing a probation after completion of initial training, subject to performance.
