We are an Award Winning Audio Visual company based in Southwest London and we are looking for a Driver/ Warehouse Operative to join our team. This is a fantastic route into the Audio-visual industry and some of our best technicians have entered the industry through this route.
Overview:
This role is ideal for someone who wants to progress through to being a technician but maybe lacks the onsite experience.
The main duties will include receiving and sorting deliveries, stock control, packing equipment for delivery to site, and delivering equipment to site.
Skill Set Required:
UK/EU Driving Licence
MS Office
An excellent “can-do” attitude
To have a structured and calm approach to the job with meticulous attention to detail
To be a methodical and self-motivated individual with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
Team Player
Beneficial Skills:
An understanding of the Audio Visual industry
Audio-visual components and equipment
A proven track record of working in a similar field.
A knowledge of PAT Testing would be advantageous.
The role will be based in South West London but the successful applicant may also be required to travel.
Duties will include:
Receiving deliveries
Managing and storing deliveries; this may require lifting items upto 20Kgs
Stock control
Separating stock into project categories
Loading and unloading vehicles
Assisting the Office Manager with replenishing office consumables
Working independently to ensure that all tasks are carried out in a safe and timely manner paying attention to company guidelines and procedures.
The role is extremely varied but offers the successful applicant the chance to enter the Audio-visual industry at the grassroots. All of the above tasks are critical to the business but once learnt, it will open the path to opt for a career down the technician route, technical sale route, or maintenance route.
Salary will be based on experience but will be between £20,000 to £28,000.
