Driver-porters required for busy SW London Event Equipment Hire Company.
We are seeking individuals to join our small but pro-active delivery/collection team who deliver and collect catering equipment to many prestigious venues across London and the UK. You will help pick the equipment from the warehouse stock and load onto your van before delivery to the given address. Collection will be later that evening once the event has finished or the following morning.
This is a fast paced work environment where a positive attitude is key as well as a strong appreciation for the value of the goods being handled. The hours for this position are on flexi shifts covering both daytime, evening and weekends depending on how busy we are. Please do not apply if you are looking for a straight up 9-5 or are afraid of physically demanding work.
Key factors for this position:
• The right to work and live in the UK with supporting documentation
• A strong command of spoken English
• A full clean UK Licence, 7.5 ton would be helpful
• Positive attitude to flexible working hours
• Previous experience driving in London and delivering goods a must
• Be physically fit and able to lift goods
• Be extremely punctual
Hours would be on a full time casual basis meaning around the 40 hour mark per week but this could go up or down depending on the flow of business. You will be paid on a fortnightly basis.
