DRIVER/EVENT PORTER, Fulham, SW6
PERMANENT FULL TIME POSITION
Cooks and Partners is one of London's leading Event and Contract Caterers. We are now seeking to recruit a Driver / Event Porter to support our events and contracts. Duties include:
• Delivering food and equipment to venues across London
• Packing, loading and unloading deliveries, including large, heavy and fragile items
• Assisting with set up and clear of equipment and stock on events
• Maintaining an efficient warehouse operation
• Managing stock
• Complying with health and safety requirements at our HQ and on site
The successful candidate will have experience of driving and portering work within the events industry, and will ideally be familiar with key London venues. Candidates must have good knowledge of routes within central London and be able to navigate independently of a Saturday nav system; be able to direct other drivers and porters on events when necessary; and have good communication and customer service skills, as they will often be the first point of contact for our highly regarded clients. Applicants must also be eligible to work in the UK with a good command of written and spoken English.
Manual handling, heavy lifting, loading and unloading, bending, cleaning and driving loaded commercial catering vans are all intrinsic aspects of this role, so physical fitness and stamina is essential.
You MUST 25 or over and have a full, clean, manual UK driving license and no criminals records due to the nature of the buildings we work with.
Catering and events take place at all times of the day or week. We work 40 hours per week on average, but applicants must be flexible to meet the demands of early mornings, late evenings and weekend work, as required.
