Dispatcher / Controller / Trainee Transport Manager / Logistics Planner - Wembley
We are a sameday cake specialist and have revolutionised how to make and deliver bespoke cakes. We really do create hundreds of smiles each and every day and change the lives of so many. Our customers can order till 9pm for sameday cake delivery. We have over 500 varieties and each and every cake is handmade, personalised and delivered. No one else makes cakes with our quality, service, value, availability or price points. We are by far the industry leader!
We now have a team of nearly 50 and produce thousands of cakes and pastries each and every month. Each order is managed start to finish in-house by our dedicated teams. We do not outsource anything, from our team of Celebration Advisers, Bakers, Decorators, Cake Artists to our Delivery Drivers it is an end to end solution in house. If you can dream of it we can make it. We even recently have had a contestant masterchef judge taste and give us a five star review of our cakes. We really do offer the very best.
We have a team of 50 staff and a fleet of 20 Vehicles.
Due to continued planned expansion we are now seeking another experienced Dispatcher / Controller / Trainee Transport Manager to help deliver more smiles than ever!
The role will involve:
Planning the daily runs for each our drivers (up to 5 a day) using our in house software (full training will be given), using our in house software
Checking all the orders are double checked and loaded into the correct vans.
Overseeing the live tracking of vans on road.
Updating any customers as when required.
General vehicle checks.
Managing the delivery team of drivers rotas.
The role is a full time permanent position and it is only required to work day shifts. No evening or nights required. Work Days are Thursday - Monday with Tuesdays and Wednesdays as your fixed days off.
We are seeking anyone with previous Dispatch or Controller experience ideally from the Minicab, Private Hire or Fleet / Vehicle experience. Knowledge of North London or West London, Central London is highly advantageous.
