Part time driver for Scandinavian Kitchen
Scandikitchen is a food wholesaler and retailer in London, providing homesick Scandinavians and scandophiles with food from Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
We are looking for someone to join us part time as our wholesale driver. We deliver boxes of food to our own Café and various wholesale customers all over London.
The role is to help pack up the van with all the goods - and then deliver to our customers (and help carry and generally, be a super helpful and efficient delivery driver, with a smile).
The role:
• Part time (approximately. 16-20 hours a week over two days)
• Tuesday and Thursdays (Set days – not flexible)
• 8am start and finish when deliveries are done (can be quite long days)
• Possibility to work Heaps more days during Christmas period (late November and most of December).
We are looking for:
• A skilled driver with experience in driving in London (Central as well as surrounding)
• Physically able to lift – we need help with packing the van and there will be lots of unloading and carrying involved
• Good common sense – deliver the right goods to the right customers, trouble shoot when needed, think on your feet.
• Good, spoken English. Permission to work in the UK.
• For insurance reasons, must be 25 years or older.
• Availability to work each Tuesday and Thursday is an absolute must.
This is a driving and delivery job. The days might be long and there might be lots of sitting in traffic, sitting in the van, listening to Kiss FM and singing along. We deliver all over London. If you are not prepared for this, please do not apply for this job.
Pay rate: We pay per hour, according to experience. If you’re good, you get more. Our start rate is £8.50.
