DOMESTIC ASSISTANT
SALARY £8.25 per hour / £16,131 p.a. (pro rata)
PART TIME, PERMANENT- variable Rota
Part Time vacancies between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm
Working at variable times and in different areas of the hospice as required.
Flexible working to include Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays as required.
Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness is of critical importance for us at the hospice both for the patients we care for and their relatives, visitors and staff who work here.
For this position, the duties are to provide a cleaning service to patient areas, offices and other non-patient areas and to provide laundry, meals and beverage service for the patients. The cleaning work is very detailed. There are set procedures to follow for infection prevention in the different areas being worked in. Duties involve the use of ladders and steps to change curtains and high level cleaning and coping with steep stairs in the older part of the building.
Duties involve working in a sensitive environment near patients and their relatives.
Full training will be provided before you are expected to work independently.
Please note that successful applicants will be required to undertake a standard DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
