Man’s Best Friend Kensington and Chelsea is a friendly, independent, Kensington based Dog Walking and Day Care Provider. We are seeking one or two individuals (depending on the schedule(s) and preferences of the successful applicant(s), to assist the owner with dog walking in Kensington Gardens and other local parks, as well as dog sitting at the local day care facility.

The role would include;

- Walking a beautiful pack of dogs along side the owner of the business between 1 and 3 times per day.

- Sitting the day care dogs (potentially solo) at our base in Earl’s Court whilst other walks are being conducted.

- Potentially conducting short, on lead, solo walks where required.

- Feeding the dogs where required

- Picking up after the dogs

- Loading and unloading the dogs in and out of our van safely.
- Entering our clients homes to collect and/or drop off the dogs where required.

The successful applicant will;

- Live locally in the Kensington and Chelsea Borough or within close distance of the Borough.

- Have a sincere passion for animal care

- Be able to communicate professionally and poleitly with prospective clients or members of the public when approached whilst out walking the dogs.

- Be extremely reliable. This is a small business that depends heavily on staff being on time and available when they say they will be.

Man's Best Friend Kensington and Chelsea was founded 18 months ago and has flourished ever since. Our clients value the fact that we never let them down and always ensure our dogs are kept safe and happy.

Sadly, our current assistant walker is heading back home to her native France, hence this position has come available to a lucky applicant(s). Our current assistant walker thoroughly enjoyed caring for our dogs five days a week (on average), however, should your schedule not allow for this, we are happy to consider two people to share the position, should a sensible agreement regarding availability be reached.

The assistant Walkers day is currently structured as follows;

- First walk to start at Kensington Gardens at approximately 9:15am.

- Assistant conducts dog sitting duties at the local day care facility whilst the business owner conducts the second walk.

- Assistant and day care dogs are collected by business owner for final walk.

- The assistant will generally be finished for the day at approximately 3pm.

Note that the current assistant receives lifts from her home and back each day. This can also be arranged for the new assistant(s) if they are living locally. If the successful applicant does not wish to be collected each morning, they must ensure they are on time each morning.

The business owner is keen on making the role as fun for the assistant as possible.

This role may be suitable for a student, au pair or someone looking to spend some time with a beautiful pack of dogs.
Please note this role is not suitable for someone looking for a short term placement. We are looking for someone long term and will not consider any applicants who wish to gain employment for less than six months (ideally longer).
