Document Coder Wanted in London

Posted: 41 days ago
Place: Moorgate, London, EC2

A leading London litigation support bureau is looking to recruit production staff on a temporary basis. This is initially for a couple of weeks, although there is the possibility of longer-term roles based on future projects.
Role: Document coder with occasional assistance in the scanning department.
Document coding is a form of data entry in which coders review batches of legal documents to capture specific, predefined metadata such as document type, date, subject, author, etc. Document coders enter that data into a searchable database that allows documents – which may number in the millions - to be easily sorted and retrieved during the course of litigation.
Attention to detail is key as the department works to tight deadlines and the work is regularly used in court cases.
Fast typing skills and a good literacy level is required.
Knowledge of Law Pre-Discovery software is useful, but not essential as training will be provided.
The standard working hours are 9:30-5:30 Mon-Fri although as the work is project-based the flexibility to work extra hours as and when required is necessary. The pay is £8.00 per hour paid fortnightly in arrears.
