Do you Play Electric Guitar in London

Posted: Today
Place: Westminster, London

A cutting edge guitar effects pedal company is looking for someone to work one day per week - though this should turn into more. Successful applicants must live in London (the company is based in NW central London).
Duties would include all kinds of manufacturing and office work, including PCB assembly and soldering, pedal assembly and final product quality control testing and packing. Basically all the day-to-day aspects of producing top-quality stompboxes.
It's important that you are an electric guitar obsessive, aware of all aspects of tone, and signal processing - with a good knowledge of the effects pedal field. However playing guitar would probably be about five percent of the job; what's essential is that you have made various audio electronic items previously - and have a reasonable working knowledge of electronics. No-one will be considered who can't show evidence of this!
You would need excellent close-up vision, and a good eye for detail - able to spot dry joints or wrongly inserted parts.
This is a fun and interesting field of audio engineering, but it can be quite varied; you may be folding a lot of cardboard boxes, working on developing unique audio devices, building pedals for international shipments, ordering bubble-wrap.
It's a dream job for someone who wants to work with audio equipment, or to get valuable experience in the MI field, or to eventually start their own business doing this.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch with info about yourself - and about the electronic projects you've made (with photos or a link to them).
