Your responsibilities as aDirector Meeting and Events Sales will include:- Under the General Manager guidance, maximize profit and guest satisfaction by pro-actively managing the Meeting and Events Sales function- Ensure that Sales leads, conversion of customer enquiries, development of future and repeat business are all maximised- Manage the M and E sales team ensuring that they are working to the required standards- Manage customer satisfaction post event and resolve any outstanding issues. Achieve required standards in Medallia, BDRC, Brand Audit and all other appropriate metrics.- Review weekly the forthcoming years’ M and E business, identify gaps and ensure pro-active measures are taken to achieve set targets- Devise creative ideas and strategies to drive business, and to up sell to clients We are looking for The ideal Director of Meeting and Events Sales will:- Have previous experience within an M and E Sales position- Have experience in a high volume and high quality hotel environment would be desirable- Have a strong sales focus with an ability to build rapport easily with clients and to convert leads into confirmed bookings- Have a positive outlook and ability to project a professional image to clients both face to face and via phone/email- Have a structured and organised work approach with an ability to prioritise workload- Be able to oversee the work of the M and E Sales Managers and Executives as required- Have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and be able to connect with other live up to our mission statement: Inspiring our guests through individuality and passion!
