Digital FundraiserAn exciting opportunity for a Digital Fundraiser to join a Christian children’s charity based in Bromley. You will be working with a small dedicated team in an open, transparent environment. This is a new, interesting and varied role to assess current digital presence and processes and create and implement a forward thinking digital plan that will engage with the public, increase awareness of the charity and their mission, and generate income.The Digital Fundraiser will be responsible for delivering all digital activity for the charity. The aim will be to promote and increase engagement, impact and influence, with identified stakeholder groups and develop and communicate in a professional, but unique digital “voice” that will become synonymous with the organisation.The successful Digital Fundraiser must be highly organised and literate both with digital platforms and the English language. experience of using online, digital and social media channels to communicate and represent a project, charity, cause or company is desired.The Digital Fundraiser will work closely with the small team to raise the charity’s profile and income stream from both existing and new supporters.As well as having an understanding and full sympathy with the charity’s ethics, ethos and ideals you will have proven digital skills. Fundraising skills are not essential but the successful Digital Fundraiser will have shown a strong inclination to sales and marketing. Whilst this post is not subject to an occupational requirement that the holder be a practising Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, it is expected that the post-holder will understand and respect the charity's Statement of Faith. Overview of Role.
Working with the other staff assess current digital presence and processes and create and implement a forward thinking digital plan that will engage the public, increase awareness and generate income. Working alongside colleagues to create innovative digital fundraising campaigns and calls-to-action that generate interest, support and income. Working with the other staff, develop and implement a combined marketing and digital strategy which supports the fundraising strategy. Monitor all website and social media key metrics such as traffic volume, conversion, bounce etc Utilise social media platforms to engage with and promote to supporters and a wider audience Utilise crowdfunding sites, such as Big Give and Global Giving, to maximize digital income sources. Prepare, post and monitor blogs for website and social media.In conjunction with other staff, optimise the website content to encourage giving, purchases and other activities. This will include optimising SEO within the website. Seek to reactivate or re-apply for Google Adwords PPC Grant and then regularly monitor and maintain ads. Manage the charity's Instagram account ensuring regular quality posts are made. Monthly analysis and reporting through Google Analytics. Where appropriate, provide support to charity partners for their own digital fundraising.

Deliver all digital activity for the organisation with the aim of promoting and increasing engagement, impact and influence, with identified stakeholder groups. Develop and communicate in a professional, but unique digital “voice” that will become synonymous with the charity.Use business and creative writing skills to convey messaging about the work of the charity into relevant and interesting content to help supporters to visualise the benefits of their support. Work with colleagues to inspire and train them in the use of digital marketing. Work with the other staff to develop and implement new community fundraising opportunities, creating social media systems to ensure maximize community engagement and donations. Work with colleagues to identify and communicate regular updates for news media and social networking to increase the profile of the charity and encourage further engagement. Create interesting and varied content e.g. Written and photographic in order to grow and complement the charity's profile, reputation and influence and further its visions and aims.Use analytical skills to measure performance against spend on digital campaigns and projects within the post holder’s remit. Research new brand ideas and make recommendations to the Director. Maintain good working relationships with the charity's outsource partner for social media posts whilst such relationships.

Understanding, knowledge and sympathy with the Christian faith, and the Christian ethos and ideals so as to deliver message of the charity in ways identifying the charity’s own beliefs and religious ethos. Passionate about improving the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged. Demonstrable knowledge of different methods of communication and fundraising. experience of using online, digital and social media channels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to research potential income sources. Proven administrative skills and experience using a range of Microsoft applications (including Powerpoint and Publisher).Proven strong organisational skills. experience of working independently and as part of a team. Self-motivated. Professionally discreet. Impeccable attention to detail. Calm under pressure.
