DESPATCH TEAM LEADER
with relevant experience, you will be an integral part of a small team as well as its leader.
Responsibilities
• Carry out the same tasks as your team as well as the below.
• Motivate the team to meet deadlines, work productively, and take initiatives to ensure the best service is provided to both internal and external customers.
• Help to promote an environment where trust, open communication and team spirit thrive.
• Lead by setting a good example for the team to follow.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure all jobs/tasks are carried out to the required standard as outlined by the management team.
• Coordinate, attend and lead regular team briefings.
• Allocate jobs and workloads and manage the distribution of resources
• Keep the management team informed of potential and ongoing issues and assist in resolving these issues.
• Undertake any task which can be reasonably asked of a team Leader as required by the operation.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained as outlined by the management team.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with all members of staff.
• Full Driving License required for occasional on the road activities such as:
- Adhoc van deliveries
- Exhibition setup and breakdown
• Picking, Packing and Despatch of Orders.
• Processing Paperwork, e.g. Orders, deliveries and invoices
• Booking Collections, Couriers and Hauliers
• Loading and Unloading Vehicles
• Stock Maintenance and Control (responsible for stock discrepancies)
• General Warehouse Duties
The ideal candidate
• A minimum of 2 year experience in a supervisory/team leader role
• Previous Logistics and Warehouse experience essential.
• Excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate confidently and clearly in writing, via telephone or in person.
• The ability to handle and resolve queries with all levels of staff
• Intermediate PC skills
• Responsive to the needs of the business

Starting Salary c. £25,000 per year.
Hours Mon - Fri 9:30 - 18:00
20 Days Holiday
Lunch Provided 3 days a Week.
Must be qualified to work in the UK and available to start work as soon as possible
