Fulham Good Neighbours is recruiting a Decorating Project Co-coordinator.
The role
This new post is initially funded for 12 months and depending on its success funding to make it permanent is available. A typical work-week will include liaising with clients, purchasing and delivering supplies, and undertaking decorating work such as painting, decluttering, and small DIY projects. The project’s aim is to work with local older and disabled people who may be in need of decorating support in their own homes.
The candidate
The successful candidate will have experience in decorating and working independently. You will have empathy, good communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to liaise with a range of external stakeholders and build relationships. The post is subject to a clear DBS check and two satisfactory references.
The organisation
Established in 1966, Fulham Good Neighbours supports older people, including those with dementia, with practical tasks at home such as basic DIY, gardening, and decorating. We also run a range of social clubs and are supported by over 50 volunteers. In 2021 we were declared The Best Charity in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
What we offer
We are a small but friendly team of four staff, three of whom work part-time. We hope you will decide to join us and benefit from the following:
Working Hours: up to 21 hrs per week, preferably over 3 weekdays (this is flexible and could be increase depending on success of the project and client demand)
Salary: JPC Pay Scale 30; £14.70 per hour, £16,097 actual annual salary (full time salary: £26,822)
Pension: 5% employer’s pension contribution
Holidays: 28 days per annum for full time employees (pro-rate for part-time employees)
Cycle to Work Scheme and Eye Care Vouchers
