Temporary Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Person  - 6 month contract. We are part of a small group of family-owned companies based in Tooting SW17.  We supply burial Caskets wholesale, we deliver throughout England and Wales.  We are a close-knit company and we are looking for someone who has a great work ethic and is able to provide a high level of customer service complete with professionalism, courteousness, respect, integrity and empathy.
Responsibilities: Manual handling - must be able to safely lift up to 50kg with assistance. Unloading the shipping container, putting away stock. Checking each shipment for damage. Loading/unloading the delivery van. Maintain service checks on the delivery van. Able to use satnav and read maps. May be required to deliver overnight (rare). Keeping storage and display areas tidy. Must be aware of correct manual handling techniques and usage of PPE when required. Other reasonable duties as required by the management. Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm. We are seeking someone with the following  attributes: Must be physically fit to be able to lift and manoeuvre at least 50kg and  able to pull, push, bend at the waist and reach above shoulder level. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities. Commitment, to deliver great customer service and a desire to be polite,  friendly, considerate and  the ability to act with  empathy and compassion. Reliable with excellent time-keeping. A clean full UK driver's license is essential. Trustworthy with a good work ethic. Forklift license useful.
