Magis are looking for a Delivery Operations Support Trainee - Delivery Operations Division
Salary: £18k - 24k, depending on experience.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Managing the delivery of electronic content to cinemas globally via satellite and internet
Monitoring and troubleshooting the delivery network, and
Providing support during Alternative Content Events.
The right person for this role will be approachable and enjoy a challenge, have a keen interest in the media industry, and must have good technical and IT skills.
The successful applicant will be expected to be a self starter, able to work independently as well as part of a small local team and a wider international team.
You must be flexible, ensuring that the required support hours are covered so as to satisfy both the customers and the company's requirements.
Once trained, your hours will include occasional work out of hours at evenings and weekends to support live alternative content events and maintenance work windows as part of a duty Rota.
The following skills are required:
Good basic knowledge of Linux and other operating systems
- KNOWLEDGE OF THE Linux COMMAND LINE IS IMPERATIVE.
Good basic knowledge of IT hardware.
Good basic knowledge of IP networking
Good basic understanding or file transfer protocols (e.g. FTP, Aspera, SCP, etc.)
Highly organised and able to multi-task
Good problem solving skills with a logical approach.
Works well both independently and as part of a team.
Friendly and enthusiastic approach.
Desire to learn.
The following skills would be beneficial:
Scripting (bash, python, PHP, etc.)
Fluency in another European Language
Professional IT Certification
experience of the cinema industry (digital projectors, TMS, LMS, etc.)
It is expected that you should be able to advance to the role of Delivery Operations Engineer within 6 months.
