We live right beside Victoria Park in Bethnal Green. We have had the good fortune to have had the experience of both Montessori and Steiner trained nannies for our son, and now our most recent one is moving on after 2 years (to full time Steiner work), we are searching for another lovely person! Our needs have changed as our four year old is going to be in Montessori school full time from September 2022, so we are looking for someone who can come to us on a Saturday or Sunday every 2 weeks, and possibly sometimes a week day in the school holidays. We would pay you through HMRC so you would need to be our employee even though for such part-time hours. We are quite flexible on days, though occasionally might have a precise need (to be agreed in advance) due to specific weekend work arising. We are a very friendly family. Mum is a meditation teacher and Dad works as a teaching assistant with children with autism. Our son is 4 and loves singing. He is also very interested in how things work, zips, Screws, putting up tents, and has been brought up with a familiarity with gardening and a love of the outdoors in all seasons. He is great fun to be with. He also has hemiplegia, which causes him to have some weakness and less control on his left side. Nonetheless he is walking, full of humour, and a strong playful boy. We would like you to be truly interested in understanding his challenges with hemiplegia, and at the same time, his character is such that is is certainly not defined by these challenges, he is a lively, funny, curious little boy, just as he should be at four years old. Our wish is to have someone who can become a lovely part of our family life, who brings themselves in, is happy with sharing pancakes at family breakfast on a weekend morning, and brings some of their own creativity, fun and kindness. We want to find someone our son will enjoy and learn positive attitudes from. We pay £13 per hour and we will support the right person 100% in learning about our son's additional needs. We need someone who is Ofsted registered as a nanny and has an up-to-date paediatric first aid training and DBS. If you are not Ofsted registered but have all the right qualifications for immediate application for Ofsted registration, we can help the right person through that process: it takes a while and is a pain to go through to be honest, but we have done it twice before for the right people. It was worth it. We also want to find someone who can commit happily to working with us for at least one year, as we feel this is only fair on our son and everyone, to build a good relationship and feel genuinely trusting and familiar with each other. Someone who lives nearby would be ideal.
Please send a written reply about yourself, just a few lines is fine, and CV and references.
We look forward to hearing from you!
