As our Data Protection Analyst you will manage specialist data protection (DP) case work, provide first line DP technical support to the Vitality Health and Vitality Life businesses, whilst ensuring that customer and employee personal data is adequately protected and that appropriate controls and mitigating actions are in place to manage identified DP risks.
Responsibilities as our Data Protection Analyst include:
- Support the Data Protection Officer in the delivery of Data Protection compliance through diligent delivery of responsibilities
- Cross-site Data Protection consultant to operations for Vitality contact centres, outsourcing and complaints
- Design and deliver DP and ID and V awareness training for Operations and outsourcing third parties
- Manage the DP breach and incident register ensuring all cases are appropriately remediated or escalated in accordance with group policy
- Manage the production of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in accordance with regulatory requirements for the Vitality group
- Provide professional advice and guidance to the relevant Vitality Health and Vitality Life businesses on data protection processes, controls and best practice
- Assist in the review and assessment of Privacy Impact Assessments
- Assist in the development, maintenance, implementation and improvement of the data protection framework (policy, processes, controls and best practice)
- Undertake health checks of business areas to determine and confirm compliance. Ensuring that all risks are identified, quantified whilst proportionate responses are implemented
- Identify and assess data protection risks and define appropriate mitigating controls. Carry out risk assessments as required of business processes and systems and projects
- Engage with project managers to ensure risks are identified, quantified and mitigated within project delivery framework
- Manage monthly data breach MI to provide root cause analysis and identification of trends.
- Attend monthly Quality forums for all areas of the business to provide support and feedback around data breaches
- Support and advise First line regarding good practice compliance standards and processes, including support of DP champions, security measures
To become our Data Protection Analyst, you will have the below skills and experience:
- A professional certification such as: PC.dp (Practitioner’s Certificate in Data Protection) or the wiliness to undertake an amount of self-study to achieve one
- experience of the European data privacy landscape
- Resolving data breach events within a financial services organisation
- Managing production of DSARs within a financial services organisation
- Resolving technical DP queries within a financial services organisation
- Influencing key stakeholders from varying levels of a business
- Developing and launching regulatory training guides
- Proactive problem-solving within a complex financial services organisation
Desirable
- CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager),or
- CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe), or
- CESG (Data Protection Practitioner Certificate), or
- ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board), or
- GDPR Practitioner Certificate
- Technical knowledge of the organisational structure, products and systems within Vitality Health
- Knowledge of UK regulatory landscape (ICO, FCA, PRA)
