My client who is based in Richmond is looking for a Data Analyst who will be responsible for modelling and manipulating data for a variety of purposes across the company. The successful Data Analyst must have experience of using ETL but be very open to using new tools in order to make sure that Data is going to be correctly used in the business.
Responsibilities

Develops and maintains specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and Datamodelling techniques and design principles and a detailed knowledge of database architectures, software and facilities.

Builds ETL processes and associated data pipelines using technologies appropriate to the use case.

Monitors, maintains and optimises operational data processing pipelines.
*
Provide best practice advice for data handling approaches
*
Analyses data requirements to establish, modify or maintain object/data models.
*
Evaluates potential solutions, demonstrating, installing and commissioning selected products.
*
Specifies user/system interfaces, and translates logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance and security requirements and existing systems.
*
Produces detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
*
Investigates corporate data requirements, and applies data analysis, Datamodelling and quality assurance techniques, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and their associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions).
*
Provides advice and guidance to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components.
