A parent is seeking a tutor to work with their son at home, who has global delays and is about 2-3 years behind peers. The tutoring should especially cover phonics, maths, and early learning goals. The boy does well with structured lessons, which incorporate visual supports. He benefits from a multisensory approach and over-learning.
Ideally this role will start next Monday, run 5 days per week staring at an hour and a half working up to two hour sessions, ideally first thing in the morning, but some flexibility. The sessions will run until the beginning of July with the possibility of European travel with the family.
The role will continue in September, until a school placement can be found for him.
The Candidate shall:
• Have the right to work in the UK
• A clear, recent DBS
• Have experience working with children with SEN, ideally learning delays
• Have experience using visual supports
• Able to start as soon as possible , continue through late July and then start up in August.
