We are looking for an experienced housekeeper to work within a formal residence in Central London. The home is fully staffed (housekeeper, House Manager Chef etc) and your position will be to do all general housekeeping and also assist in the kitchen. The family have a chef and you will be assisting the chef in the kitchen on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is interested in cooking to work closely with a chef and pick up some new skills.
The position is working over a six day week and for this you are then rewarded with a very good salary of £38,000 gross per annum.
The days will be Monday to Thursday and Saturday and Sunday. Monday to Thursday your day will start 2pm and you will finish at 10pm each evening (you will have breaks during your day), on Saturday’s 9am to 6pm and on Sunday’s 9am to 9pm. Your day off each week will be Fridays. When the family are not in residence you will work shorter hours Monday to Friday only.
All housekeeping and cleaning to be done to a high standard. Essential you have worked in a formal household where you have worked with others and cleaned crystal, china and polished silver.
Duties:
Assisting chef in the kitchen in preparation of meals
Chopping and washing vegetables
Setting the table for the family
Serving at the table
On occasion assisting at dinner parties

Must have current DBS.
