Daily after school / early evening sole charge Nanny with some light housekeeping duties to look after 2 children in Paddington, near central London
Mum is looking for a reliable live-out nanny to pick up 2 children aged 9 and 10 years from school. You need to be trustworthy and punctual, and have experience looking after children of similar age.
Working hours will generally total a minimum of approximately. 25 hrs per week; Monday-Friday, from 3.30pm to 8.30pm during school term times, with some flexibility to collect the children at a later time (usually 4.45pm-5pm) on days when children have after school clubs. Flexibility can be offered if the candidate would like to finish at or before 8pm.
You must able to able to work during the children's school holidays to look after them or pick them up from holiday camps/activities. The children enjoy Music, (Flute and Guitar), Swimming, Reading and Computer Games.
Duties include supervising the children's homework, giving them dinner and putting them to bed, keeping the children's room and play areas tidy, and some light housekeeping, such as washing up after dinner, doing family's laundry, light ironing of the children's uniforms, keeping common areas (e.g. Reception, kitchen and main bathroom) of the 2 bedroom flat clean and tidy. However, Mum stresses that your priority really is mainly child related.
OFSTED registered / ready preferred.
YOU WILL NEED:
• To be in the UK to attend interviews
• To have a good standard of spoken English
• Reference letters from previous UK employers (Not just names and numbers)
• A written CV
• To be a non-smoker
• Minimum 18 months – 2 years ’ plus relevant experience in the UK
• To either have, or be willing to apply for, a current enhanced DBS disclosure together with status update
• A current paediatric 1st Aid certificate, or to attend a course.
• OFSTED registered / ready preferred.
