Customer Service Advisor Job

Job Description
Job purpose: To provide world-class customer service through sale of services and products and to determine the best procedure/service to meet the customer’s needs
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes on a daily basis.
- Record sales on cash register and process credit card transactions.
- Receive and process packages for shipping, identifying most appropriate courier service.
- Provide packing services for shipping contents.
- Track documents and packages using manifest system and process claims.
- Present and sell all services through centre displays, face-to-face and on the telephone.
- Work closely with approved suppliers to assist in maintaining stock orders and displays in the centre.
- Determine customer requirements for document and finishing services.
- Operate fax, photocopy, printing and finishing services equipment.
- Making simple adjustments to document (where required) and virus scanning.
- Identify customer needs for business cards, letterhead, rubber stamps and place orders with appropriate suppliers.
- Talk with customers to provide solutions to best serve their needs through cross-selling and up-selling.
- Talk with customers in order to provide leads for the centre manager to take up.
- Efficiently and professionally serve the customer’s needs.
- Support the centre manager in maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation around the centre.
Additional duties:
- Liaise with auction houses and be able to collect customer's lots if required.
Knowledge, Skills and experience
- You will be a clear and confident communicator with experience of working with individuals and businesses
- Excellent communication skills are essential including the ability to empathise and build a rapport with f2f and callers in a professional and supportive way
- You will be self-motivated and committed to providing first class customer service
- The role will also involve responding to letters and emails so strong written communication skills are a must, as is data entry experience
- Ability to solve problems, think creatively, find and negotiate solutions and drive up performance
- Able to take responsibility and support others
- Able to work as an individual and under own supervision
- Computer and Numeracy literate
- Excellent Telephone Manner
- Be able to multi-task and prioritise own workload
