Title: Customer Host
Location: London
Position reports to: FoH Manager
Key responsibilities
To provide consistently high quality of service to every customer, be responsible for the appearance of the customer areas and communicate effectively and efficiently within our team to both colleagues and customers.
The following represents the key areas of responsibility for your position in the Company. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list and the Company may require you to carry out certain other activities not listed here.
Customer Service: To be responsible for high quality customer service to everyone that enters your shop.
Ensure every person that enters your shop is acknowledged by making eye contact, smiling at them and saying “hello”.
Ensure that each customer is greeted correctly as above, made to feel welcome and that all of his or her enquiries are answered fully.
Ensure that each customer pays for their order and that they receive all of the items that they have ordered.
Maintain upkeep and appearance of all customer areas. Complete any duties delegated to you by your FoH Manager.
Answer the telephone promptly to customers or suppliers and take orders politely, speaking clearly with an enthusiastic attitude.
Communicate efficiently and effectively with work colleagues and customers.
Team: To be responsible for being part of a team within our shop.
Attend meetings and contribute to Company strategy and policy-making as required.
Attend training and participate in appraisals when requested by the Company.
Welcome and help new members of staff that join the Company.
Operations: To be responsible for your shop.
Have a precise and enthusiastic knowledge of the Company ethic and products.
Manage cash and payments systems in accordance with Company procedures and policies.
Working Environment: To be responsible for contributing to your shop.
Ensure you maintain a clean and welcoming working environment and carry out relevant cleaning activities according to health and safety law and Company policies and practices. This may include helping other areas of the business if the situation arises. With an enthusiastic approach to all of your responsibilities at work and to the others around you, you will be acknowledged accordingly by the Company.
