Kill The Cat is a different breed of craft beer bottle shop, located in the heart of London’s vibrant East End on Brick Lane. We have a constantly rotating selection of approximately 150 Beers and 3 keg lines, all of which are available to take away or drink in. We also provide group tasting sessions, local delivery and host special beer-related events.
You:
A super-curious beer fiend! We're looking for an open-minded, friendly and enthusiastic assistant that's cut from a different cloth. You'll need to be interested in, and capable of, dealing with all sorts of folk, and confident talking about beer in a way that interests and excites. Strong beer knowledge is highly preferable, but a good basic understanding and a keenness to learn will go a long way. Previous bar and/or retail experience would naturally help, but isn’t essential. We're open to finding some fresh-faced talent that can rise to the challenge.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the latest and greatest Beers from around the world, build relationships with breweries, and work in a friendly, sociable and enthusiastic team. All the while helping an ambitious young business to grow.
Main duties:
• Serving customers (on and off sales)
• Opening and closing
• Unpacking deliveries
• General shop maintenance
Expected working hours: approximately 20 hours per week, including afternoons and weekends
Expected pay: Competitive, depending on experience, plus discount on beer.
Expected start: Immediately
