Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Cover Facilities Assistant to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a part time, fixed term basis and will receive a salary of £21,778 per annum pro rata.

The Pembury Community Centre in Hackney is looking for a part time Cover Facilities Assistant to work Sundays- 2-7pm, Tuesday 5-9pm and Thursday -5-9pm.
Responsibilities of the Cover Facilities Assistant.
- Cleaning all common areas of the centre to a high standard, complying with acknowledged best practice in the use of all materials and equipment.
- Inspecting, on a daily basis, all external and internal areas of the residential buildings and reporting any defects, security or health and safety concerns to the Centre Manager Supervisor.
- Providing a high level of customer service at the centre, covering the reception desk when necessary.
- Acting in a courteous and helpful manner to all residents in addition to members of the public, other staff, guests, and to contractors employed on the development.
- Ensuring the centre is a well-managed, safe, clean and secure environment in which to live and work.
- Promoting a happy and professional working environment conductive to high staff morale, paying attention to ensuring good inter-staff communications.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
- Ensure that daily equipment / facility set ups are completed on time and to the correct specification.
Desirable knowledge/experience/ skills required by the Cover Facilities Assistant:
- experience of working in community/hub setting.
- First Aid Certificate or ability to work towards.
- COSHH Assessor qualification or ability to work towards.
Shift: Sundays- 2-7pm, Tuesday 5-9pm and Thursday -5-9pm.
Flexible working pattern to include evenings and weekends.
Flexible to work at multiple sites
The successful applicant will need to be subject to an enhanced background disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) before any appointment can be confirmed.
