Operations Manager
We are now recruiting for a Operations Manager to join our team in London. The Operations Manager role will be a key position reporting to the Managing Director and will focus on the day to day running of the organisation, including the efficient running and movement of goods and services, sales and customer services, compliance, staffing, Human Resources and company strategy. Courier 4 All is growing and evolving at pace - therefore we need a high calibre and passionate Operations Manager to implement new things and make the role your own!
The Operations Manager duties and key responsibilities:
• Ensure that the company service levels are achieved at all times. Act quickly and positively to address and resolve sales team and customer issues.
• Manage the efficient day to day processing and delivery and tracking of goods through the effective management of office, sales team and courier contracts.
• Ensure risk is effectively managed through compliance with all company policies including Health and Safety as well as operating within legal and regulatory requirements such as the Working Time Directive, Road Traffic Acts and vehicle safety.
• Control costs in line with Targets. Take appropriate action to control cost where required.
• Monitor and reviews operational performance and address any issues.
• Tender Management and pricing contract responsibility
• Undertake specific projects to make a major contribution to the development of future plans and strategies for the company
• Support the growth of the company by working constructively with the sales teams to bring in and operate new business in line with service levels and budgeted costs.
To become our Operations Manager you must have the following skills and experience:
• Previous experience within a similar role.
• You will love building and implementing automated process and procedures to streamline activities
• You have good people management, leadership and influencing skills.
• You're independent yet love collaboration.
• You will be a highly motivated achiever with drive and passion to succeed.
• You work well with incredibly direct and no nonsense people.
• You have backbone and understand how to be critical with the utmost respect while giving feedback that is designed to build up instead of break down.
• The ability to create a dynamic and high performance work place environment
• Have experience of setting up warehousing procedures and IT systems choosing the best system for the job
• You will have fantastic analytical skills, a great attention to details and outstanding motivational skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• A high level of detail consciousness, accuracy and timeliness.
• A good knowledge of Microsoft, in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
The hours of the role are 8.30amam to 5:30pm Monday to Friday, some weekend work and expected to be on call to answer out of hours emergencies.
Requirements:
• A degree from a good university. (That said, we will consider equivalent professional and life experience.)
• Operations management experience.
• Direct people management experience.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with impeccable and stylish written English.
• Driven and confident personality, who can keep a cool head in a crisis.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to get your hands dirty.
• experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a keen eye for data and technical projects
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £25,000.00 to £30,000.00 /year.
