We are currently looking a passionate cook who can complement our current Prepared Foods team. In exchange for you experience and commitment we can offer a competitive starting rate of pay (£9.00 per hour) in addition to regular sales based store bonuses, 25% discount on all in store products, plus many others benefits.
Some of our key responsibilities for the cook role include, but are not limited to:-
1. Helps design and merchandise a beautiful, appetizing prepared foods case.
2. Oversees the quality of dishes in the hot and cold cases and alerts Team Members when products are running low.
3. Responsible for the preparation, presentation and upkeep of the Kitchen in absence of the Team Leader.
4. Prepare, present and produce foods according to guidelines and with awareness of market and costing to achieve highest margin.
5. Ensure all Food Service products meet quality standards, communicating with Team Members and Team leaders to resolve issues.
6. Maintain Full Fresh, Clean and Tidy at all times
7. Maintain cleanliness, safety and organisation of the food preparation area, including back stock and walk through chillers
8. Ensure proper rotation and storage of product.
9. Direct any cases of food borne related illness, whether staff or customer to Team Leader or Duty Manager immediately.
10. Adhere to Health and Hygiene guidelines, use a logging system to demonstrate due care in prevention of food borne related illnesses.
11. Recognise customer needs and patterns in our store and advise further menu development as needed.
12. Labels, dates, cover, and rotate all products in the kitchen walk-in cooler.
13. Follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices.
14. Perform all duties and responsibilities of Prepared Foods Team Member (Including Working the dishwash)
15. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
16. Knowledgeably communicate the product line to the customer.
17. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members and leader.
