We are searching for kitchen staff (Cooks) to work in one of our residential care homes in East London, E4.
Aim: to work with other staff in meeting all the nutritional needs of Service Users
Pay rate: £8.00 - £9.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Principal duties:
To prepare breakfast / lunch / supper to a set menu, taking into consideration of Service Users choices and preferences.
To prepare nutritional food to a high standard taking into account any special dietary requirements.
To ensure that a high standard of hygiene is maintained through kitchen / dining area / food store.
To clear and clean dishes after use.
To rotate stock and pack away food deliveries.
To maintain documentation in regard to Service User menu choices, food preparation, food service.
To perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.
To comply with the organisation’s procedures and policies at all times.
Person Specification:
Having a Catering Qualification, NVQ is preferred but not essential. However, a candidate should be willing to complete the qualification if not held (we will assist in this).
Having a Food Hygiene and Health and Safety knowledge is important.
