Our clients, with a staffed residence in Knightsbridge, are now looking to recruit a Live-out Junior Chef/Cook who can hold their own on a day to day family basis and support the Chef in the kitchen when they are entertaining, and if not required in the kitchen to assist and support the butler team with duties such as packing and unpacking when the family travel, and some service.
Must have relative experience and an understanding of how to work for private individuals within their home. This could suit a candidate who is either a qualified Junior Chef or a very experienced Cook and the clients would consider both hotel and restaurant backgrounds, although some private house is desirable. The ideal candidate must also be happy and confident to serve on occasion if ever required and not have any issues being asked to do other tasks to support the butler team.
Must:
Understand the nuances of private house
Have prior experience working as a Junior Chef or a Cook and be confident to prepare menus for plated dinners as well as catering small parties (alongside the Chef)
Have an eye for detail and working as part of a household team.
Be experienced in packing, unpacking and wardrobe management, understanding of fabrics, cashmere, silks would be desirable.
Hours: 5 days per week, 10 hours per day, 2 weekends off a month. Hours can be on a morning shift or a later shift, e.g 7am-5pm or 12pm-10pm.
Salary: Subject to experience - £40,000 upwards subject to experience.
