Like Aubaine’s restaurants and deli’s the new venture will offer high-quality fresh products based on Aubaine’s roots in France and in particular Provençal. The range will include new signature boulangerie and viennoiserie products from Aubaine's own bakery, a classic and authentic breakfast range, seasonally changing hot dishes along with salads and sharing boards. The food menu will be accompanied by a wide selection of coffee and teas from around the world, fresh juices and French wines and Beers.
We are looking for a Cook to assist with storage, preparation and cooking of all food items according to the Company’s standards, whilst adhering to all Health and Safety and Food Safety legislation at all times and maintain a high level of service at all times.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills in both English and French, and will be able to build strong relations with the Institute Français.
As a Cook amongst other you will:
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (cleaning, chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check quality of ingredients
• Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery
• Unload food and equipment deliveries
• Keep the storerooms, fridges and freezers well stocked, clean and organised at all times
• Make sure that all kitchen equipment like food mixers, fridges, cookers are in good working order, cleaned, and switched off if not needed.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s policy on Food Safety, Health and Safety, Allergens, Fire and Bomb Threats
