They are looking to expand their trusted Contractor Cabling Engineer base for various rollouts that they work on each year in the Retail environment. This is UK wide so self-employed Contract Cabling Engineers are more than welcome to review the scope. Contract Cabling Engineer Key Responsibilities:* Installation of cat5e, cat6 and cat6a network cabling* Working on various projects and single day jobs across all environments within IT* troubleshooting IT issues within networks and potential software issues* Working on large scale rollouts installing IT equipment* Able to work with Retail staff and understand the pressures of working in these environments* Able to multi task and provide detailed updates on progress of works on siteIT Engineer Skills and experience:* Ideally you will be an enthusiastic and proactive Cabling Engineer who is willing to travel and stay away from home from time to time, depending on the job specification.* experience of installation and termination of cat5e and cat6 data cable into offices and commercial premises* Competent using power tools* Ability to install containment and specify specific route* Ability to work with and lead a team* experience of fibre optic cable installation and termination an advantage* Ability to understand plans/diagrams* CSCS card and other relevant certification for working on construction sites* Ability to learn EPOS systems and test* Option to go abroad for customer works* A full, clean driving licence* Suitable skills/experience: Data Cabling and Fibre Optic Installer, CSCS, IT Solutions, Data Cabling, Installer, Cat 6, Fibre Optic Cable. Our aim is to provide a service to customers on their IT needs including data network cabling, PoS rollouts, chip and pin, WIFI and IT procurement.The role is based on the current project we are working on so may vary from time to time. Contract rates* GBP130 - GBP150 per day - 10-hour shift door to door* Travel - 25 miles are inclusive of the day rate.
