Construction Project Manager Needed

Overview
We are a design and build company with offices based in Wandsworth and projects throughout London. We pride ourselves on our professional and friendly approach to our clients whilst maintaining a can do attitude. Our company has been expanding year on year and as such We are seeking a new project manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting position with the opportunity to develop into a senior role within the company. You will be heading up the management of our projects from the point they leave the design phase to completion. This role gives the chosen candidate an extremely varied challenge

Trade or 3rd level construction management qualification
Team player

Key Responsibilities
- Light scale management overseeing multiple projects in conjunction with a build foreperson on each project.
- Produce project construction programs
- Control costs, timing and quality in line with targets within the project programme.
- Efficient use of all build teams and resources.
- Record and report the progress of each project and maintain a correct reporting and financial record for each project for both the client and Creative Spaces
- Accurate interpretation and understanding of contract documents, Construction programs, drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare small scale cost variations to project base values.
- Manage build teams including external consultants.
- Liaise with the Site Foreperson to co-ordinate the use and installation of correct materials to prevent any potential on-site issues.
- Ensure consistent implementation of standard site practice and safety procedures.
- Manage project handover and ensure defect free completion.
- Manage client expectations and adopt a professional and friendly approach to maintain good working relations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience within construction project management
- Computer literate with good experience of Microsoft office
- Proven track record of successfully delivered projects.
- Must be a strong negotiator with exceptional planning, multi-tasking and communication skills.
- Understanding of construction technologies and building regulations.
- Valid driving licence
Time, Place and Perks
Office based in Wandsworth town centre with site visits throughout London as required
9am - 5:30pm (flexibility to meet clients on site earlier where required)
Company float car available for use. (no BIK)
