Summary
We are looking for an organised and efficient candidate with excellent administrative and communication skills to join our construction department. Based at Hackney Downs Studios primarily (with occasional work carried out at our other locations in E8 and SE1), you will assist the construction management team to improve the quality and efficiency of administration. You will ideally have some experience in a similar role or be a quick learner with an interest in construction.

Salary: £26,000 - 32,000 dependent on experience
Closing date: 31st July 2022
We are willing to consider applicants on a full or part time basis. The full-time hours offered would be 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and the part-time hours 9am - 3pm Monday - Friday, to be paid pro rate.
About the role
You will work alongside the construction managers to ensure:
- All stock is logged and accounted for efficiently
- Ordering materials from approved suppliers in a timely fashion
- Filing of invoices and delivery notes and management of all build related paperwork
- Make a list of regular used items and research more efficient options
- Sourcing contractors for build works across sites
- Use initiative to help with design concepts
- Filling out and managing the recording of builders timesheets
- Replying to general emails and manage emails from the construction department
- Assisting in liaising with architects for most up to date plans and feeding in any changes
- Help with compiling all relevant documentation for planning applications
- Documentation of Health and Safety and risk Assessments for each project
- Update the programme schedule, liaising with the operations manager, architects, building managers and finance department
experience Required
- Understanding of the built environment
- Sourcing and ordering building materials
- Negotiating with contractors/procuring best prices for construction work
- Working with a project manager - scheduling, costing and managing contractors
- Managing timesheets and processing invoices
Knowledge Required
- Planning application process
- Building regulation protocols
- Understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Using CAD and architectural programs and drawings
- Use initiative for building solutions as part of the development across the sites.
