PAUL UK, the French family owned Artisan Bakery and Shop, are looking to recruit for a Confectioner in our Patisserie department.

Overall purpose and scope of the job:
To assist with the overall production of patisserie items, tarts and memorable special range making each of our products irresistible. Always ensuring you follow recipes to Paul standards and make the products in the traditional French artisan way using your hands to mould and shape. Responsible for producing quality pastries and cakes
Prepare a wide variety of products such as cakes, creams, pastries following PAUL traditional recipes
Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. To ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
Check quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used
Skills and Technical Requirements
• Proven experience in a cake production role
• Great attention to detail and Creativity
• Passionate approach to food
• A good sense of taste, smell, and touch are important
• Willing to learn and be given instructions
• Able to work at pace in a busy pressurised environment
This is a 5 out of 7 shift pattern (includes weekends on rotation); 40 – 48 hours a week and it can involve night shifts.
