Our family-run business, based in Brentford, is looking for new part-time Conductors/Hosts. Our beautifully restored, vintage buses are guaranteed to bring a smile to our guests' faces and your role is to be the icing on the cake to make their journey with us extra-special.
Red Routemaster have been based in Brentford for 7 years, and during that time our fleet has grown and grown, from just one bus to an active fleet now of 7, with more in restoration each year. We're looking for personable and outgoing individuals to join our fleet as conductors/guest hosts. Your job will be to ensure that all our guests have the best possible time on the buses, keep them safe, and help the driver deliver a day to remember.
Duties include:
Preparing the vehicle - cleaning prior to departure, dressing with balloons, flowers etc (where required).
Primary point of contact for customer on the day.
Welcoming guests aboard
Checking tickets (vintage tickets are prepared upon request and to be checked and punched using our authentic bell punches).
Ensuring guests observe the bus rules
Assistant the driver with safe manouvering (ie reversing)
Ensuring the vehicle is secure and clean upon return to the yard.
We are a friendly and enthusiastic bunch and this role would suit someone with an outgoing nature. Previous customer service experience would be a bonus but not essential - we will give you all the training you need. As a small business, a willingness to get Stuck in and help out is also a great asset as it is essential as a small team that we all work well together.
Our work is very seasonable and variable, and we try to be as flexible with our crew as possible. We are always busy at weekends though, so we would expect you to be available at least some Saturdays/Sundays.
