compliance Officer – Part-Time (2–3 days a week) – No experience Necessary
GHE is looking for a new junior team member to join our growing business. If you are looking for a role with responsibility and prospects, have an interest in the law or property, and you’re happy to learn on the job with full training given, then this could be the start you’re looking for.
Vital information about the role.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Do lots of reading – Your role will be to help us to stay compliant with the latest regulations in our sector, which means reading some rather sizeable documents.
• Summarise the vital points – You will be required to summarise information extracted from these documents for consultants and directors of the business.
• Audit our business practices – From the way we move tenants in and out of rented accommodation to internal practices, health and safety, and insurances, we will look to you for compliance guidance based on the material we’ve asked you to review.
• Take responsibility for staying current – New regulations must be read, understood and communicated to the team.
• Instruct and monitor third-party contractors – Coordinating any work required on our landlords’ properties to maintain their compliance is vital.
The skills and experience we are looking for:
• A methodical approach, patience and excellent communication skills
• We need a detail-orientated individual
• We’re looking for proof of reliability and responsibility in life and/or work
• If you have a legal education that would be a bonus, but it’s not necessary
• A keen interest in property or the law/compliance
• Someone who can be a clear and concise communicator
