We are a letting agency based in North London ( Edmonton ) that does Social Housing. We manage a vast amount of properties in the London area and are growing as a company.
Due to a member of staff going off on maternity leave we need to replace her with a competent new member of staff to add to the team.
A successful Administrative Officer will act as the point of contact for all employees, providing administrative support and managing their queries. Main duties include answering the telephone, making report sheets and answering queries raised on a daily basis plus dealing with contractors and commissioning jobs to be done. If you have previous experience as an Office Administrator or similar administrative role, we’d like to meet you. Our ideal candidate also has working knowledge of office equipment and office management tools. We need someone who is a fast learner and has a good knowledge of word excel and outlook.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our administrative activities run smoothly on a daily and long-term basis.
Responsibilities
• Manage office supplies stock and place orders
• Answer queries by landlords and also the local authority.
• Maintain and update company databases
• Organize a filing system for important and confidential company documents
• Answer queries by employees and clients
• Update office policies as needed
• Maintain a company calendar and schedule appointments
• Distribute and store correspondence (e.g. Letters, emails and packages)
• Prepare reports and presentations with statistical data, as assigned
• Arrange works sheets for builders for daily repair jobs
• You will be trained on many other tasks in the office.
Requirements
• Proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator or similar role
• Solid knowledge of office procedures
• experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
• Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma; additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus but not necessary.
