We are looking for live-out companions for elderly people. Our clients would appreciate some daytime company, a little practical help and the reassurance of being accompanied on outings to local shops, for a cup of coffee or to appointments. You will not be asked to do any personal care - it is purely visiting and helping with practical tasks, as if you were a family friend.
Each visit will be for a minimum of 3 hours. Visits will take place on the same days each week but the timing of visits is flexible and could be arranged around your schedule.
Our clients are independent elderly people who have lived busy and full lives but are at a stage when they need a little more help in order to maintain their independence and live in their own homes. They are interesting people, and nice to be with!
This would suit someone who lives locally and can make a long-term commitment to being a Companion. A non-smoker is essential, as is someone who speaks very clear English.

Pay will be £11.50 gross per hour. Applicants should already be self-employed and will be responsible for calculating and paying their own tax and NI.
We are a Homeshare organisation helping elderly people to find a suitable helpers and companions.
