We are looking for someone with an upbeat personality who is a good conversationalist and listener. The ideal candidate would be a student majoring in Lit, or someone on gap year who has and good creative writing skills - but age is not a barrier and we will certainly consider other applicants who have good writing skills. We are looking for someone to spend 4 or so hours per day, 5 or 6 days per week with my mother in Highbury. The responsibilities will not include housework, but will include preparing lunch and occasional trips to the shops. Although we would love to have the memoirs the main objective is to provide companionship - and there may be days where no recording or writing gets done. We will pay £15 an hour for time spent with my mother and the same for time spent transcribing and writing.
