Le Bureau boutique co-working space in Battersea provides 220 desks to more than 90 small businesses – all in a beautifully designed space. Some of our “Members” have been with us for years, some have just joined. Some are sole traders, some are teams of 6-8. Most of our Members businesses are in Services – Recruitment, PR, Architecture, Journalism, Marketing, Web development. Some are in Retail. All are thriving local small businesses. All chose Le Bureau because of the facilities we provide – but stay because of the community we host.
This role is responsible for maintaining the everyday office operations and ensuring a good environment for all members. This role is the first point of contact for members’ enquiries at the front-desk.
This role requires to be a friendly and courteous representative of Le Bureau for current members and deal with any questions or requests that they have on an everyday basis. Answer questions, forward messages and handle requests as required, or seek help when needed. Get to know members’ common requests and proactively anticipate future issues or concerns. It is important to maintain the smooth running of everyday office operations via maintaining office supplies by checking stock (stationery and kitchen stock). Take an inventory of levels and anticipate future requirements. Place orders, verify receipts, stock items and deliver supplies to workstations. Move and stack deliveries. Maintain nice kitchen environment, including wiping bench-tops, washing up mugs, refill tea and coffee machine, paper towel, hand wash, etc. Ensure meeting rooms are tidy and the general office is presentable at all times. Maintain office equipment such as printers, coffee machine etc. Help members with IT trouble-shooting and redirecting them to IT support when necessary. Collect and redeliver post and deliveries. Arrange outgoing post. Support Community Manager in daily running of the business. Source, prepare and supply food for members’ events. Attend networking events on behalf of the company when required and attend monthly events organised for our members. Take on ad hoc tasks for other team members during busy periods and cover for team members during periods of holidays and absences. In order to do this role effectively, the job holder will need: To be friendly and helpful and work with professionalism at all times. Good communication skill and to be proactive at solving problems with ‘hands-on’ attitude and willingness to help other team members.
