The purpose of the role is to support the Parochial Church Council of St Paul's Church Goodmayes in the management of St Paul's Community Centre, providing all administrative support for weekend and regular weekday lettings and assisting with the organisation of maintenance requirements, working 7 hours per week, ideally on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
We are looking for someone with:
- proven organisational and administrative skills;
- good written communication skills in English, including the ability to draft formal letters;
- excellent oral communication skills in English, demonstrating the ability to relate well to the full range of people in our diverse community;
- competent word processing skills, including use of Word and Excel programs;
- good numeracy skills;
- a track record of reliability and trustworthiness;
- the ability to work effectively both on own initiative and as part of a team.
Previous Customer Service experience is desirable.
An enhanced DBS check will be required.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
The post-holder is not required to be a practising Christian, but must be respectful of the aims and purposes of the Church of England.
